Shack Football Jig

The Shack Football jig is a specialized bass fishing lure ideal for targeting bass on hard, rocky, or gravel-covered  bottoms. It features an oblong, football-shaped lead head, which prevents it from tipping over or getting stuck in rocks, unlike round or bullet-shaped jigs. The head is positioned perpendicular to the hook shank, keeping the hook upright and reducing snags. Soft plastic baits, like crawfish, grubs, flukes, paddle tails and jerk shads  enhance the lure’s action to imitate natural prey.

Football jigs excel in deep water (summer and winter) and mid-depth pre spawn areas, particularly around rocky structures, ledges, points, or humps. They’re less effective in grassy or heavily vegetated areas, where they can pick up weeds.
